Northern State University’s 2017 Noon Forums are underway, with this week’s session, “Crime, Deviance and Violence in Sports,” set for Wednesday, Sept. 27, in the Williams Library Rotunda. The session will be led by Dr. Courtney Waid-Lindberg, assistant professor of sociology; Dr.

Five Northern State University alumni and one Wolves team will be honored at this year’s NSU Hall of Fame Banquet. The banquet, part of Gypsy Days, will take place at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at the Dakota Event Center. Cost is $25 for adults and $10 for children. Each year, the NSU Alumni Association selects a Kretchman Coaching Award winner and also inducts former Wolves athletes into the NSU Hall of Fame.

Alumni and friends are invited to the Gypsy Day tailgate beginning at 11 a.m. in Ken's SuperFair Foods Tailgate Lot at the south end of Swisher Field. The Alumni Association is hosting an alumni and friends tailgate sponsored by Jimmy John's and RDO Equipment starting at noon. The Gypsy Day football game will kick off at 2:30 p.m.
