Northern State University’s 2017 Noon Forums are underway, with this week’s session, “Crime, Deviance and Violence in Sports,” set for Wednesday, Sept. 27, in the Williams Library Rotunda. The session will be led by Dr. Courtney Waid-Lindberg, assistant professor of sociology; Dr.

NSU’s Primrose Arts and Lecture Series will take place Tuesdays from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Aberdeen’s Primrose Retirement Community, 1701 Third Ave. S.E. 

Sept. 12: “I Hear America Singing: Songs from Throughout American History”; Dr. Marla Fogderud, assistant professor of voice, and Dr. Bill Wieland, professor of piano

The themes for the fall Wolf Talks Series are “Self-identity,” “Humanity” and “Hidden History.” Wolf Talks, which are free and open to the public, are held in conjunction with the NSU Common Read and sponsored by TRIO Student Support Services and Student Involvement and Leadership. On Nov. 29, Dr. Ayaz Virji will speak at 6:30 p.m. in the JFAC Blue Room.
