Have
you ever wondered why Northern State University has
a television channel but no student-run television show?
Well, you are not the only one. Four NSU students with
a desire to learn how to edit film and make productions
and movies, have come together in the form of an independent
study course to make an NSU television show. Another
NSU student, not taking the course, helps with production.

Legal,
ethical issues are grey areas
The legal issues involved in ovum donation are not
black and white. Consider
the case of a woman from Texas who donated her eggs
to an infertile couple, Couple A. Couple A had a child
and all was well. A different infertile couple, Couple
B, sought donated eggs from the same facility that Couple
A received their eggs. The doctor assured Couple B that
egg sharing is legal and encouraged. (Read

Our
Voice: Does anyone have an EGG?
As you may or may not know, in our last paper we ran
a half page ad that was asking for a 5'9, caucasian
female to donate an egg. Do you see any problems with
this? If not, then why did the local newspaper run a
front page article the Saturday after the newspaper
came out? Why did Keloland run a story on it's 10 p.m.
newscast that Saturday and then again on Wednesday,
November 20 on their 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscast? (Read

Letter
to the Editor: Joy to the world, not war...
I am utterly against an invasion of Iraq because
I am a Christian. America is one nation under God. Sadly,
many Americans place country above God, hate above love,
and war above peace.

Go
ahead and laugh, I've got my philosophy
Recently, I was in one of my many education
classes, having a discussion about some rather controversial
topic when I looked around me and thought to myself,
"These people want to be teachers!?!?!" Wow. I couldn't
believe it. Some of these people make me want to cry,
I can't imagine how a second grader would feel if these
people had the same attitude with them. (Read

My
big fat Greek pizza
I
love finding places that serve interesting food and
drink, but such discoveries are rare here in God's
Country. Chain restaurants dominate, especially in
pizza. While the basic products made by Dominos and
the rest are not bad, they do have an appetite-numbing
sameness. (Read Full

second that Emo-tion; a new gener of music emerges
It
was the winter of 2001, and I was cruising towards
Pierre down Highway 14. It was a rare occasion, but
I was actually listening to the radio instead of my
usual mix of tapes. As I feared, it was one pop hit
after another and I found it hard to distinguish a
difference between one song and the next, often thinking
to myself, "didn't the DJ just play this group?" (Read
