Letters
to the Editor
A
thank you goes out from the students
College life can be tough at times with classes,
homework, work, and any other activities a college student
might find themselves involved with. It is tremendous
to have someone there to help you out when you need
it, or to have someone just to talk to. Northern is
lucky to have just such a person. Many of us have had
some type of contact or help from Lisa Ducheneaux. Lisa
has always been there for students who are in need.

Our
Voice
Hello Northern State University, and
welcome to your brand-spanking-new StuPub Exponent Editorial
Board!
This year has been, well, let’s say, hectic as far
as staff is concerned. I don’t know if they were just
scared off, or what happened, but we lost a few. We’ve
done some remodeling in the personnel department, and
(drummroll, please) here they are! (Read

A
Case in Support of War in Iraq
So far, I have remained silent on the issue
of war in Iraq within the pages of this paper. I am
not exactly sure of the reason, but for a time, the
question was one that was more or less avoidable. Until
now, I could pass it off as nothing more than a possible
eventuality, but reality has once again reared its ugly
head.

From
the left...It's diplomacy, stupid
Today war is no longer a possibility, but
a reality. As President Bush mimics his father's presidency,
we tune into CNN watching his horrific attempt to instill
"shock and awe" into the country of Iraq.

...to
the right, Support our troops, no matter what
There has been a lot of talk about
whether or not we should be going to war.
There are hundreds, thousands of people all over the
world rallying for and protesting against the war with
Iraq. Personally, I am in support of removing The Butcher
of Baghdad from power, especially after seeing the footage
of dead children that he attacked and murdered with
mustard gas.

What
I had planned...and what really happened
I had it all planned out. I was going
to marry a dentist and move to Minnesota. I was going
to spend the rest of my life living in bliss with my
amazing husband and our musical children and maybe even
a cat. It was going to be perfect.

says...but do what you want, What is in a name?
I am plotting a bit of vandalism.......blame

and detach the "Johnson Fine Arts Center" title from

Wake

To my regular readers (mom, my wife, uh, let's see)
I apologize for the absence from my reviewing duties
this semester. I had agreed to write two Exponent columns
this spring, and I hoped they would appear beginning
in January. Since I had eaten at a place claiming to
be Aberdeen's newest Italian restaurant, I was set.
But I had an absolutely dreadful meal! Chinese restaurants
have more Italian going for them than Alonzo's, you
know what I'm talkin' about?
