Sue Molhan speaks out on Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Every semester, the Counseling Center provides two presentations to help continue the training of peer helpers, resident assistant (RA) staff, and Student Athlete Mentors (SAMs). In the past, they've brought in the Aberdeen Police chief, talked about personal safety, and have also had presentations on grief and loss. This month they brought in Sue Molhan from Florida. DeKraai addresses SDEA-SP
The Northern State University South Dakota Education Association Student Program held a dinner Oct. 7 in the Student Center. The SDEA-SP held the event in conjunction with State President Donna DeKraai’s visit to the Aberdeen area. Baseball and its curses?
The president was Harry Truman.  World War II has just ended.  That is what was going on in this world when the Chicago Cubs last made it to a World Series.  It was 1945, fifty-eight years and counting.  The last time they even won the series you have to go back even farther.  Theodore Roosevelt was president and this still was a time when women didn’t even get to vote.  1908 when the Chicago Cubs beat the Detroit Tigers to win their last World Series.(Read Full Article)

Volleyball battles for win over SDSU
The Northern State University volleyball team continued its season by stepping out of the NSIC conference to play in-state NCC rival South Dakota State University Tues. Oct. 14, in Wachs Arena at the Barnett Center. On a special "Pack the Gym Night," the Wolves pulled out a win against the Jacks, 3-1, with scores 30-27, 18-30, 33-31, 30-25.

Winston performs at NSU
Pianist George Winston recently came to Northern State University and gave a benefit recital. All of the proceeds from his concert went directly back into music towards the scholarship fund.
