Student enthusiasm encourages Dakota Bank 3137 Challenge
The Northern State University Foundation is actively pursing the Dacotah Bank 3137 Challenge. The number 3,137 represents the number of students enrolled at NSU. The Foundation hopes to raise $3,137 with this new fund drive which is to be completed by the end of the school year. Dacotah Bank will match the funds raised, up to $3,137.(Read Full Article)

CAB sponsors NSU's first Northern Idol compitition
Freshman BongJoon (BJ) Lee, Korea, was voted winner of the Northern Idol competition held Thursday, November 13 in the Krikac Administration Theater for his performance of the song “Someday Far From Now” by Hae-chi Sin. Freshman Doraleen Levao of Clearfield, Utah took second place with “You Are Loved” by Whitney Houston, and the third place award was given to freshman Kyung Yil Bae, Korea, for her performance of “Sweet Little Kitty” by Cherry Filter. Other performers included freshman Kelly Petersen, Plankinton, freshman Dan Thennis, Webster,freshman Tiffany Murtland, Pierre, freshman Ryan McCormick, Sioux Falls, freshman Kristine DeBilzan, Bristol, sophomore Christen Pirlet, Aberdeen, freshman Shawn Warren, Tyler, TX, senior Lynn Isackson, Huron, freshman Serine Gentry, Brookings, and “Fresh off the Boat”(a male singing group).(Read Full Article)

Bucs say "Goodbye Keyshawn"
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did something that no one would ever thought they would do a couple of weeks ago.  They told their all-star receiver Keyshawn Johnson that he could basically take a hike and they will find a place for him at the end of the season.  Whether that is by trade or by ultimately releasing him of his contractual obligations.  The ladder of the two will end up costing the team more money because of a salary cap penalty the team would be imposed against them.  The Bucs general manager said that is was(Read Full Article)

Football cleans up NSIC season ending awards

The Northern State University Wolves football team ended the 2003season Nov. 15 when they traveled to Marshall, Minn. to take on Southwest Minnesota State.  NSU dominated the game and came away with a 41-17 rout of the Mustangs.(Read Full Article)

Women's basketball team sets goals

Wrestlers dominate compitition

Did someone say Wolfstock?
The annual Wolfstock, held on November 14th, entertained many people.Wolfstock was five hours of fun without the sun.  There was free popcorn, pop, pizza, and many incredible door prizes.  Tee-shirts were being sold at a low price.  There were four groups of musicians that performed, with DJ Peni doing his thing mixxing things up in between the sets of performers.
