FINANCIAL AID

At Northern, more than 80 percent of students receive some form of financial aid, totaling more than $13.6 million. NSU offers several types of financial aid, including scholarships, grants, loans and college work-study. Most aid is awarded on the basis of need (scholarships and some loans are an exception). To receive maximum consideration for financial aid, you should apply no later than March 1st of the year you wish to enroll. To receive financial assistance from NSU, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students have the option of completing the paper application or FAFSA on the WEB.
