New for 2017-18
Two changes to the FAFSA will take effect for the 2017–18 school year:
1. The FAFSA will be available earlier (October 1 instead of January 1).
2. The FAFSA will collect income information from an earlier tax year.
Simply put, the 2017-18 FAFSA is available now. This application collects 2015 tax information, and most people will be able to transfer their tax numbers from the IRS directly to their FAFSA. Students who wish to receive aid for the 2017-18 academic year should complete their application as soon as possible.
To receive maximum consideration for financial aid, apply no later than March 1 of the year you wish to enroll.
