Summary: Applicants must be South Dakota residents who have completed at least their freshman year of college with a major related to the water well/groundwater industry. Majors include environmental sciences, engineering, geology, etc. Two $4,500 scholarships.
MENSA Education & Research Foundation Scholarships

Summary: Applicants must be U.S. citizens enrolled in a degree-granting program. Requires online application and essay.
Rosenfield Injury Lawyers’ Single Mother Scholarships
Deadline: Dec. 5, 2014
Summary: Applicants must be single mothers who are enrolled in a U.S. college or university with at least a 3.0 GPA. Requires essay and transcript. Two $1000 scholarships.
Financial Assistance through the National Farmworker Jobs Program
Summary: To qualify for financial assistance through the Black Hills Special Services Cooperative’s National Farmworker Jobs Program, applicants must have earned wages on a farm or ranch in the last two years (not including the family farm). Fifty percent of applicants’ income must be earned through farm labor or 50 percent of time must be spent in farm or ranch work. Dependents of the eligible farm worker are also eligible for assistance. See application for details.

Summary: Applicants must be SD residents who graduate high school in 3 years or less. Guaranteed $1771.34 for one year.
South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship

Summary: Applicants must be South Dakota students who attended an eligible higher education institution in South Dakota. Requires composite ACT score of 24 or higher, a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and completion of the high school course requirements commonly known as the Regents Scholar curriculum. Guaranteed to all students who qualify, $5000 over four years.
