NOPHNRCSE Scholarships
Deadline: May 29, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be high school seniors or current students and plan to major in agriculture, natural resources, or a natural resources conservation-related field of study. Requires application, essay, transcript, two letters of recommendation, proof of U.S. citizenship, and college acceptance letter (high school seniors only). Three $1,000 scholarships.
iHELP Scholarships  
Deadline: June 30, 2015
Summary: Applicants can be any high school senior or current college student. Requires application. One $3,000 scholarship, one $2,000 scholarship, and one $1,000 scholarship.


Goodwin & Scieszka Innovation Scholarships
Deadline: June 1, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be current undergraduate students planning to attend law school. Requires application, essay, and transcript. One $1,000 scholarship and two $500 scholarships.


SDTA Memorial Scholarships
Deadline: May 31, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be customers or have parents who are customers of a South Dakota Telecommunications Association member company. Applicants must also have completed at least two semesters of post-secondary higher education in South Dakota. Requires application, two letters of recommendation, and transcript. Two $1,500 scholarships.


Astanza Q-Switched Laser Annual Scholarship
Deadline: June 30, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be majoring in physics, biology, nursing, or other natural or applied science fields and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Requires application, college acceptance letter, transcript, and cover letter. One $2,500 scholarship.


Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship
Deadline: May 15, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be women enrolled in at least their second year of a business-related major.  Requires application, two recommendations, essay, enrollment verification, and transcripts.  One $300 scholarship.


Aberdeen Federal Credit Union Scholarships
Deadline: April 17, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be members of Aberdeen Federal Credit Union. Requires application and essay.  Five $1,000 scholarships. Student-Caregiver Annual Scholarships
Deadline: May 31, 2015
Summary: Applicants must have been caring for an older relative while attending school (high school or college) and intend to continue to do so. Requires application and essay or video.  Three $1,500 scholarships.


AT&T Internet and Education Scholarship
Deadline: June 17, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents. Applicants must also be full-time freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors during the 2015-2016 academic year. One $1,000 scholarship.

Eraser Clinic Laser Tattoo Removal Scholarship 
Deadline: June 30, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be majoring in nursing, natural sciences, applied sciences, or a related field; be U.S. citizens or permanent residents; and have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Requires application, essay, and transcript. $1,000 awarded twice each academic year.


Critical Teaching Needs Scholarship
Deadline: April 15, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be S.D. high school graduates in their final two years of study toward a special education, high school math and science, or high school career and technical education program.  Recipients must work in South Dakota in their field for 5 years, or the scholarship becomes a loan.  Requires application, essay, and transcripts.  Scholarship amount is based on student’s remaining financial need, not to exceed the equivalent value of 30 credits of tuition and fees.

Summary: Open to all degree-seeking students.  Applicants must submit a bio, signed agreement, and an essay on the topic:  “How can your major of study improve the lives of seniors in assisted living facilities in your town?”  Two $2,000 scholarships.
Doolittle Business Scholarship
Deadline: May 1, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be graduates of Aberdeen Central High School who are currently in their sophomore or junior year of college. Primarily for business students but all majors may apply. Requires application, transcripts, and three letters of recommendation. 
Russ Keen Memorial Scholarship 
Deadline: May 1, 2015
Summary:  Applicants must be graduates of Aberdeen Public Schools who are currently in their sophomore or junior year of college, majoring in communications or journalism. Requires application.


Grasshopper Entrepreneur Scholarship
Deadline:  April 30, 2015
Summary: Scholarship is open to all students. Requires application and essay on the topic “As an entrepreneur, what do you believe the greatest barriers to entry are for starting a business, and how would you or do you try to overcome these to be successful?” One $5,000 scholarship.
Dakotas AER Scholarship 
Deadline: May 1, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be residents of either North Dakota or South Dakota, have a 3.0 GPA, show financial need, and have completed one semester in a program to provide services to people with visual impairment. Requires cover letter, application, transcripts, program of study, and two letters of recommendation.  One $500 scholarship.
InkAddict Tattoo Art Scholarship 
Deadline: June 15, 2015
Summary: Applicant must be a graphic design or art major with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Requires application, transcript, and submission of a design. $1,000 first-place award; $500 runner-up prize.
Elmer C. Anderson Memorial Scholarship 
Deadline: April 30, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be classified as a junior or senior during fall 2015 and be a U.S. citizen.  Scholarship is awarded based on financial need. Requires application, documentation of citizenship, evidence of financial need, transcript, and statement of goals. One $1,000 scholarship.


Abbott and Fenner Scholarship 
Deadline: June 15, 2015
Summary: Application requires an essay. One $1,000 scholarship.
Deadline: May 30, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be enrolled fulltime and majoring in business, economics, or finance, demonstrating ambition and a desire to be an entrepreneur or business owner. Requires transcript and essay.  One $2000 scholarship awarded over 2 years.


Deadline: May 1, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be an employee of Avera, or the spouse or child of an employee, who is pursuing undergraduate degree work in a health care-related field. Recipients must be high school graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be in their junior or senior year of college in the 2015-2016 school year. Requires application, essay, and four letters of recommendation.  Up to five $2,000 scholarships awarded.
A Place for Mom Senior Care Innovation Scholarship
Deadline: April 15, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be majoring in sociology, social work, gerontology, nursing, medicine, physical therapy, or occupational therapy. Requires letter of introduction, essay and signed agreement. Five $1,000 scholarships.
Deadline: July 1, 2015
Summary: Applicants must live in or maintain residency in Lincoln or Minnehaha counties and be majoring in business. Requires application, two recommendation forms, and transcript.  One $2,500 scholarship.


South Dakota Board of Regents Scholarships


Ardell Bjugstad Scholarship
Deadline: May 8, 2015
Summary: Applicants must be high school seniors who are enrolled members of a federally recognized Indian tribe whose reservation is in South Dakota or North Dakota.  Applicants must also plan to major in natural resources, agriculture, or a related field. Requires application, two letters of recommendation, transcript, and verification of tribal enrollment. One $500 scholarship.


Jump Start Scholarship

Summary: Applicants must be South Dakota residents who graduate from high school in 3 years or fewer. Guaranteed $1771.34 for one year.

South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship

Summary: Applicants must be South Dakota students who attended an eligible higher education institution in South Dakota. Requires composite ACT score of 24 or higher, a cumulative GPA of 3.0, and completion of the high school course requirements commonly known as the Regents Scholar curriculum. Guaranteed to all students who qualify, $5000 over four years.
