Fine Arts Scholarships: Art, Music, Theater
The Northern State University School of Fine Arts is proud to announce its very first 2017 Fine Arts Invitational scholarship event for all interested and prospective students in the arts.
NSU Fine Arts Invitational Scholarship Event
Feb. 17-18, 2017
Johnson Fine Arts Center, NSU
To register for the event and apply for scholarships, complete the NSU Fine Arts Scholarship Application.

At the invitational, you can:

• Audition for music, art and theater scholarships
• Submit your art portfolio for review
The invitational will take place in the newly renovated Johnson Fine Arts Center on NSU’s beautiful campus.

Art Scholarships

Entering freshmen and transfer students may apply for a limited number of art scholarships. For more information, contact Art Department Chair Peter Kilian at 605-626-2415 or 605-626-7762.

Current NSU art students in good standing are eligible to apply for variety of scholarships administered annually by the art department. Scholarships for current students can be found on myNSU.


Music Scholarships


Music scholarships are awarded to music and non-music majors on the basis of auditions. If you are unable to attend auditions, please submit a recording. Video recordings are preferred over audio-only.

2017-18 Scholarship Auditions

On-campus auditions are scheduled for Feb. 17-18, 2017, during the NSU Fine Arts Invitational.

The deadline to submit audition by CD or DVD (unlisted YouTube video recommended) is Feb. 10, 2017.
For students submitting a recording, a YouTube video or audio file are recommended. Email “unlisted” link to CDs and DVDs are accepted via the U.S. Postal Service. For details, see application form linked below.
