Parents of First Year Students

The faculty and staff are pleased that your son or daughter has chosen to further his or her education at Northern State University. Through the development of the First Year Experience (FYE) program, the university is committed to making the transition from high school to college as smooth as possible.

The FYE program at NSU was designed to increase student success through academic preparation and support.  Interaction with faculty in and out of the classroom, and opportunities for student involvement in activities, organizations and service projects, are in place to help first year students build the foundations needed for educational success.
