I. Research Foundation: 3 credits (5 Credits for option C)

EDER 751, Interpretation of Educational Research (2) (Required for option C)

EDER 761, Graduate Research and Design (3) 

II. Core Foundation: two of the following, 6 credits
CGPS 762, Socio-Cultural Foundations (3)
EDAD 700, Models of Educational Leadership (3)
EDAD 715, Supervision and Mentoring (3)
EDFN 720, Philosophies of Education (3)
EDFN 750, Technology in Education (3)
EDFN 760, Writing for Learning (3)
EPSY 741, Psychology of Learning (3)

III. Areas of Emphasis: 19 credits

Select a minimum of 6 credits in each of 2 or 3 areas of emphasis as determined and approved by the committee for a total of 19 credits. Areas of emphasis could include, administration and leadership, elementary and secondary education, health and physical education, guidance and counseling, language and literacy, and special education.

IV. Electives: 2-3 Credits for Option C

V. Internship: 4 credits
Internship in one area of emphasis to include field-based research project. (4)

TOTAL CREDIT: 32-37

Areas of emphasis may be chosen which lead to special endorsements or certifications. State requirements should be consulted. Any upper division work in special education requires completion of undergraduate certification as a prerequisite.
