A Message from Director Dr. Sharon Paranto

Sharon Paranto Welcome to the Office of Graduate Studies at Northern State University. Northern’s graduate faculty are some of the finest in the nation, sharing specialized knowledge in their fields of study while providing a wide range of experiences that enhance students' learning opportunities. To better meet the needs of students - including those unable to come to campus because of work or family obligations - many of our programs are available online.

Northern’s School of Education has a long history of offering graduate programs in Education and E- learning. The school offers master's programs in counseling, educational studies, leadership and administration, teaching and learning, instructional design in E-learning, and training and development in E-learning. The School of Business offers a master of science in banking and financial services, the only such program in the region and one of the few graduate programs in banking and financial services in the nation. Likewise, in response to high demand, the School of Fine Arts developed a master of music education program, available online with a hybrid summer component.

Please continue to explore Northern's website for additional information on our graduate programs and the admissions process. I also encourage you to contact our deans if you have questions specific to their programs. We appreciate your interest in graduate studies at Northern State University, and we look forward to assisting you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Sharon Paranto
