Melinda is beginning the school year alone. She called the cops at an end-of-summer party and it got busted. Now everyone hates her and she is an outcast. No one will speak to her, not even her old friends; she is hated by the entire student body of Merryweather High. She tries to put the night of the party out of her mind and constructs a wall around herself. She doesn’t let anyone in, if she did, then she would have to tell the truth about what really happened the night of the party.
