As an NSU student, you will benefit greatly from the technology-enhanced programs available at NSU. With nearly 600 student access computers and more than 25 labs on campus, NSU students have excellent access to technology. More than 50 smart classrooms are equipped with multimedia teaching podiums, LCD projection equipment, and Internet connection. NSU houses twelve videoconferencing studios and one of the state’s first high definition videoconferencing studio. Multi-media study stations and extensive electronic resources in the newly remodeled Beulah Williams Library provide students with access to extensive collections of books, journals, and electronic resources.
NSU’s newest technology initiative is the mobile computing initiative. The goals of the initiative are threefold: 1) to promote an environment that is conducive to anytime, anywhere learning; 2) to create a more learner-centered environment; and 3) to promote acquisition of 21st century skills. As part of this initiative, NSU is constructing a campus-wide wireless network that will allow students to connect to the Internet anywhere on campus, including residence halls. |
