HELP & SUPPORT (FACULTY AND STAFF)

HELP CENTER

The NSU Help Center is the first point of contact for faculty and staff who need information technology or multimedia assistance. E-mails (help@northern.edu), phone calls (626-2283) and walk-ins (TC 148) are all welcome. When should you contact the help desk? When you need:

  • professional, courteous support for basic computing, audio/visual, and distance education services;
  • help with malfunctioning office technology (computers, printers, scanners, etc)
  • help with malfunctioning smart podiums or distance technologies
  • instructional technology equipment for your classroom or professional presentations
  • help with network issues such as account changes
  • information from online FAQ's, manuals, and tutorials that empower users to self-troubleshoot
  • a technology fellow or technical staff to assist you with a technology-related project
  • assistance with WebCT, Web page development, and other applications
  • assistance with technology purchasing
