HEALTH EDUCATION MINOR

The Health Education minor
is an excellent option for
multiple majors. It ties in well with Physical
Education, Human Performance and Fitness, Social Services,
Criminal Justice, Gerontology and Special Education majors.
Students who
complete the minor will have the knowledge base
to support employment in school and/or community
health settings.
The following courses are required for the
Health minor/endorsement:

| • | HLTH 251, First Aid and CPR (1 credit) |
| • | HLTH 320, Community Health (2 credits) |
| • | HLTH 361, School Health and Safety Education (2 credits) |
| • | HLTH 400, Elements of Health (2 credits) |
| • | HLTH 420, K-12 Methods of Health Instruction (3 credits) |
| • | PE 345, Applied Human Anatomy & Kinesiology (2 credits) |
| • | PE 346, Applied Human Physiology (2 credits) |
| • | PE 350, Exercise Physiology (2-3 credits) |
