PHYSICAL EDUCATION MAJOR (BSEd)

Students who major in Physical Education will be prepared to assume a teaching (Physical Education – Teaching)position in the field. Our goal is that Physical Education majors graduate with the knowledge to help them promote and advocate for physical activity, wellness, and exercise promotion for individuals of all ages, and that they have the skills and knowledge needed to do this effectively. Students will develop skills in the effective teaching of physical skills (exercise and sport related), as well as teaching and advocating exercise and fitness promotion. Students will develop a well-balanced knowledge in the field, as throughout the Physical Education program, they will address the pedagogical, social, psychological, physiological, anatomical, and biomechanical aspects of physical activity.
