Here are the photos from July 6. We went to Kaikoura  in hopes of seeing some whales, but the boat didn't go  out, so we stayed in town and went to the reef area to  see some seals.   Then we took a walk, which turned out  to be a slight disaster!    We took a wrong turn and walked through this really awful cow field.   It was muddy and gross...   I must say  we've had better times...      At least we got back shortly after nightfall.  Then for dinner we ate at this place called the Green  Dolphin.   OH!   I forgot to tell you about the Fyffe house!  The Fyffe house was litterall built on the backs of   whales: their vertabrae are the foundation!   Kaikoura   used to be a major whaling industry.    Well, this is the last one. I really miss you guys.   We've been having fun. Janne and I have just been wondering around Aukland, so it's been interesting.   We   haven't even SEEN the bus we were going to take   today...  Oh well, walking is good for you right?
