This is an elephante mask at the museum of Africa that had the aquarium. It is from Bamileke region.

Yes they are from New Zealand!

I also recongnized this one from Hawaii.

I found this mask cool cause of the bird, the snake, and the other little animal from Africa.

Carved form wood these marine life carvings are from Africa.

I found a cool looking fish! (imagine that) This guy is from south east Asia. The scientific name is Pterapogon kauderni. After I got to thinking, with all of the fins the way they are it reminds me of the statues of Buddha with all of the arms/hands.

I liked the colors on this one, but I was unable to find the name.

There were a bunch of small turtles in a tank. I think they are snapping turtles, but I did not find a name.

Meet Periophtalmus! They live in and out of the water. They are from the mangrves.

I like the patterns on this one. From the indoPacific this is Arothron stellatus. There was another one of these at the aquarium and I think he had a chipped tooth.

Another one from the Indo Pacific, Pterois volitans. We know her at the scorpion fish.

I meet this little cutey at the aquarium. From the Atlantic this is Ginglymostoma cirratum.

Gymnothorax Funebris is just breathing. I remember when we first moved to Hawaii, before we were even in a house, we were snorkeling. I saw a moray eel and screamed through my snorkel cause I did not know he was breathing.

We saw a similar one in New Zealand. This one is Cichlaoma synspilum from centeral Africa. The French common name is "tete du feu".

Crocodile or Aligator I could not tell, they were too far down for me. There were three or four of them in a huge area.

Chiloscyllium griseum is from the indo Pacific. This is the second shark I have seen here that is small and has blue-green eyes.

I picked up a three kings cake that I found in Paris. Mithril and I ate it, she did not know about it so it was fun. The bizzare thing was that since this is the "3rd millennium" it was a waiter with a champain bottle and not a baby Jesus.

This is what I wore to the opera.

This is what Mithril wore to the opera.

This is our pre opera shot.

The Queen of the Night visits the Prince

This is the birdcatcher and the girl the Prince is in love with. The Prince and the birdcatcher keep in touch by using their instruments.

When the Prince plays the magic flute all of the animals came out to see him.

Here is a better shot of the uniconrn and the eagle. I think most of the animal's costumes were very well done.

The peacock was just coming on stage.

At intermission we got shots from the area that we sat in facing the chandelier. Say hi to Mithril.

This is me at the opera, the lighting is not so great but thats not a problem.

At the end of the opera the birdcatcher got a girl too. I thought their costumes was also well done. New to them is the owl and the three vailed ladys.
