This "Feast-dress "Brelot", headdress,
dress, and apron which baroness Putigny used to wear at Tournus and Ruffy
during the grape-picking feasts around the year 1800". Nice dress, but
I am not sure how I like the head piece.

This is Baccouse on a barrel of wine. I
think this is cute! I picked up some postcards with this picture on it.

I have seen ships in bottles and that was
awesome. This was interesting and fun to see.

This was actually a museum of wine. It
also talked about the history of the area and wine being started here...

My little book said snails are especially
good in this region. Since I had decided this last summer to try everything,
and I lived through kumara, that snails could not be any worse. So, I ordered
snails Brougondy style and they were really good! Chantal said she has
a recipe for this that I could have. I want to try to make it too. Mrs.
Depré said I am very brave trying moule and snails. :)

I visited one of the caves too. This one
had a bunch of empty wine bottles around the lights. I think that is a
cool idea!

Baccouse with a bunch of wine bottles behind
him. His name and Saint Vinncent came up several times. Logical, Baccouse
is the god of wine and St. Vinncent is the protector of grape pickers or
wine makers. Mom I think you can clear that one up.

This is at one end of a park in Dijon that
I visited. It rained the whole time I was there, so I decided to make it
an indoor day after getting fairly wet.

I visited an archeology museum. This crucifix
dates back to the late 1300's. It is not intact because the abbey it was
in was destroyed.

They claim this is from 900 years before
Christ. I am not going to argue with these pros., but they say it was used
as a razor! I would rather not, thanks. They did specify that the men used
it.

Before I had left I made the turkeys. Mrs.
Depré thought they were just adorable, so I gave her one. I have
the other up in my room. I will collapse mine and take it in for the students
to see.
