Meg Mons was made in Belgium. She was used in battle in Scotland but later only used for important ceremonies as she was too heavy to move around.

In the hall of honors in the center room there is this chest which holds the original scrolls. It has been unopened since 1929. The chest sits on green Italian marble and under that you can see the volcanic rock that the castle was built on.

This is the Grand hall. That little window that is high up and bared up was used by the king to spy on his subjects.
