This is part of a palace that Old East Berlin decided they would blow up. They blew up all but this part cause on of their political party members made a speech off of this balcony, which was originally on the other side of this building. That is why this entrance is off center, they moved the balcony.

This is one of eight original statues on a bridge. When bombing became heavy they moved the statues to a "safe place." This place just happened to be in what was West Berlin. It took they a while to get the statues back.

Prince's palace which as redone after the war.

Humble University, one of the brothers that founded it had something to do with oceanography.

In this square there were tons of books, some by some of today's most known authors, they just decided to have a bonfire with.

This is the sign of one of the subway stations. I found it interesting cause it was a "ghost station" when Berlin was separated Most entrances were sealed, the lights were dimmed, and armed guards were on duty. The train ran straight through as if the station did not exist.

This is B'berg Gate! It is being cleaned, thus the sheet. Traffic still passes under it. I, along with the rest of the tour, spent quite some time in the "death zone."

I can still see the statue on top!

Shot down Under den Linden St. You can see the Pope's revenge back there.

At Postdamen platz on the walk this is in memory of the first traffic light in Europe. The original went up in smoke during the war.

Berlin Flag

West side of the longest piece of the wall still standing

East side of the longest peace of the wall still standing and me.

On the west side of the wall there is an open air museum called "Topography of Terror." It's all about the Gestapo and SS cause their head quarters was 100 meter or less from this very spot.

Can anyone guess what this is a model of?

Let me give you a closer look.

Reichstage from across a park. The little red dots are a band.

This is the do not walk sign, obviously, designed by old east Berlin.

Here is the walk sign! I love these little guys, especially the hats!

On Under den Linden this opera house is located.

This is the dome in the Berlin Cathedral. A bomb crashed through but never went off.

I climbed to the top of the Cathedral. This is the Pope's revenge and Me.

A view down from the outdoor top of the Reichstag. This is in one of the outdoor court yards in the Reichstag, each person was supposed to bring earth from there area. You can't see very well cause it's night time.

A view down on the parliament room as we climb up the inside.

The inside center is mirrors angled down.

This is the maybe door. During one of the elections the people hear the choices exit and then enter through the door of their choice.

On the first floor of Charlettenburg there were several paintings. My favorite was probably "moon rise on ocean."
