Prayer knish from 1226, notice the gold "trim" it's done by a special firing method in a particular region. 
 
 
Earings were normally given to the bride to be to insure her financial future. Richer marriages had other jewelry along with it. Gold was commonly used in cities and Silver in the country

Me in part of the garden. The botanical garden was nice, in Berlin. I had to rush through due to an early closing time in the winter. I saw most of the indoor stuff. The outdoor stuff was a little barren, definitely great in the spring and summer.
