Maori art
at airport
on the way
to passport checks
Catholic
church in Warkworth; meant to light a candle for Babchie but they
didn't have any so said a prayer at the virgin Mary.
Sandra,
she picked me up at the airport.
Many
places have fun intersections and this is Warkworth's.
Keren, I
tagged along as she ran some errands.
Keren
found a field of yellow flowers...daffodils
They were
also around the trees.
One type
of table at the Sawmill Cafe.
Sandra
contemplating the menu.
Decorations at the Sawmill Cafe.
My room
from the outside; just finished unpacking.
Rooms and
offices.
The
seminar room, teaching lab, offices, and library from the side closes
to the water. Those large white tanks are dump tanks.
One of the
Saturday markets...I call it the red barn market. It is between
Leigh and Matakana.
You can
find all sorts of arts & crafts here, to include clothing and wood
working. There are also plants, baked goods, fruits, and
veggies.
This is
the other market that I frequent on Saturdays. It is in Matakana.
This is
where you walk in. Foods are the main thing at this market.
There is always music too.
Its set up
in a square and on the far side is a stream.
The
seagulls are made my a local man and he sells different ones at the red
barn market, he also makes other birds and woodcrafts.
Along the
road back to the lab Cadda lilies are growing.
Entering
the lab area.
Pass the
dive cage and lower tank room on my way back from markets.
Treated myself to a morning glory muffin from the pop in patisserie in
Matakan.
Snow drops
along driveways...sort of look like Lilly of the vally...I think the
leaves are narrower on snow drops.
