Language Laboratory
NSU's Language Laboratory is located in MJ 244. In it students will find a broad variety of technological tools to help them with their assignments or just to facilitate communication with the rest of the French-speaking world. The lab has fourteen multimedia computer work stations connected to the NSU network and the Internet. Four of them are equipped with video cams for videoconferencing; all have microphones, headphones, and CD-ROM drives for the interactive language learning programs. The lab also has CD/cassette workstations, two VCR/monitor workstations, and a DVD/monitor workstation. A satellite dish receiver links us to the outside world, and a multistandard VCR and wide-screen television allows us to view programs recorded on any system used in the world.
A limited selection of videotape and CD-ROM programs are also kept on reserve at the NSU Williams Library.
