Want to work for the Department of State? Enjoy a career teaching language? Attract German clients for your products and services? Converse with your German grandmother? Then a degree in German may be for you! Alone or combined with another major, the study of German can lay a great foundation for your future. Here at NSU, adventure, value, and a supportive educational environment make this a great place to learn about German culture, heritage, and language.

 

Caring faculty, small classes, close relationships with three German partner schools, and participation in a breakthrough shared teaching arrangement with our South Dakota partners SDSU and USD, are all reasons why studying German at NSU makes sense. Eat lunch and chat with native speakers from our German exchange institutions in Lüneburg, Magdeburg, and Schmalkalden. Study in Germany for little more than it costs to study on campus at NSU. Improve your skills via the latest communications technology. Share your knowledge in meaningful community outreach programs.
