active patent issuing authorities. These journals provide complete

pharmacology, and medicine. In addition to these subject areas,
SciFinder Scholar contains the worlds largest collection of organic and
inorganic substance information. To access SciFinder Scholar,

Scirus
Science-specific search engine that searches over 167 million
science-specific Web pages to locate scholarly, technical and medical
data on the Web, including the latest reports and peer-reviewed articles
and journals.

Scitation
Scitation indexes articles from 120 scholarly journals on topics in
physics and engineering. Topics include mathematics, civil engineering,
semiconductors, optics, and nuclear physics. Some full text content is
included, but Scitation is made up largely of abstracts.

Web of Science
The Web of Science interface is the main way to access three major
citation indexes. One is the Science Citation Index, which
contains citations for scholarly journals in the areas of chemistry,
biology, physics, mathematics, computer science, and astronomy.
Another major resource is the Social Science Citation Index, which
contains citations on subjects such as political science, history,
anthropology, social issues, sociology, philosophy, and women's studies.
These resources are searchable by topic, author, source, or cited
reference and cover dates from 1992 to the present. The final resource
included is the Arts & Humanities Index, which includes archaeology,
literary reviews, art, music, history, religion, and theater abstracts.
Coverage in the Arts & Humanities index dates from 2001 to the present.
