Library Instruction Request Form
Complete the form below to request a library instruction session for one of your classes.
The library instruction session can be conducted as a general orientation to the library or structured around a research assignment specific to your class. We suggest that you consult with a librarian if you're planning to create a research assignment for your students. You can also check our Creating Effective Library Assignments Web page for more information on designing library assignments.
Instructors are encouraged to attend each course-related instruction session. Your presence motivates the students to become more engaged in the learning experience being provided. Should questions arise about an assignment, your presence at these sessions provides an invaluable opportunity for students to receive clarification and direction in conducting their research.
In the section below select those items most useful for your class. You may select more than one item in each subject area. But keep in mind that, in a one-hour session, a librarian can offer instruction on only some of the items listed. If the librarian teaching your class cannot cover all the areas requested, you will be contacted for more information or to schedule an additional class.
