JSTOR Adds Law to Collection
JSTOR has added 30 journals in the form of Arts & Sciences IV. Eventually, a minimum of 100 journals will be included in this latest collection, which should be completed in 2006. The collection focuses on areas new to JSTOR, including law, psychology, and public policy and administration. Arts & Sciences IV also includes a selection of new education journals. To access these journals, go to the JSTOR link on the library's Online Databases page.

Also new to Williams Library is WDI Online from the World Bank. WDI Online is a data source on the global economy. It contains statistical data for over 550 development indicators and time series data from 1960-2002 for over 200 countries and 18 country groups. Data includes social, economic, financial, natural resources, and environmental indicators. Results can be scaled, indexed against a particular year, viewed by percentage change, and charted. These features plus data export options in standard formats like Excel make WDI Online a useful tool for researching developmental data.

A Brand New Look this Fall
A new online catalog system will premiere in South Dakota this fall. It will provide the latest in library technology and will be very user friendly. Entirely Web-based, the search page is being designed by South Dakota reference librarians to meet the needs of patrons statewide, but will also be customized for our own library. One question we have for you is how would you like to be trained to use this new system? Options include one-on-one, group sessions, print instructions, or something else you might suggest.    Contact Lea Simon at simonl@northern.edu to express your training needs.
