  1) Scultpure
     A) Built upon the ideas of previous civilizations art
        i) created clothing like effects out of stone
        ii) Motion - greeks were the first to capture motion in sculptue - also muscle tension
        iii) moods - greeks could imitate any kind of mood, happy to sad
        iv) able to capture indiviudual personalities
   2) Architexture
      A) created advanced colums -  Corinthian, Doric, Ionic
         i) colums appear symetrical but the purposely bulge in the middle to give the appearance of symetrical
         ii) Architexture combines with art, sculpture found on the side of buildings
         iii) created theaters with great sound flow
   3) Painting
       A) no survivable painting exists
       B) must look at roman copies to get an idea of the advancement of painting
   4) Pottery
       A) Started to use the red figure pottery method
          i) red figure is able to show more detail than black figure, greeks were the first to use this
   5) Famous sculpute influence
       A) Rodan learned much from the greek sculptures, alos inspired many great artists

   1) Greeks idolized the athlete and the athlete's body type
      A) many sculputes are based on the perfect athletic body
   2) Gymnastics were invented by the greeks
   3) Olympics

   1) 1st historians were greeks
      A) True historians because they searched for the reasons why events occured

         i) was concerned with why battle occured and a lot of signifigance of the events leading up to the battle
