Message from NSU Band Clinic Director, Dr. Boyd Perkins:
Thank you for your interest in the NSU Band Clinic. The tradition of the clinic
dates back sixty-three years and continues to look to the future in 2009! Look
for a mailing in September with registration instructions. Plans are underway
for a tremendous event in 2009. I will post the announcement regarding the
clinic for 2009 when contracts are finalized.
Band Clinic Date: November 18, 2009 THIS IS ONE WEEK LATER due to the Veterans
Day holiday.

| MISSION STATEMENT: The Department of Music at Northern State University serves as an instrument of the university for the stimulation and motivation of creative and artistic expression in music. A primary responsibility is to assist students in the discovery and development to their fullest potential. Students will be provided with many opportunities to develop through music classes, private instruction and participation in solo and ensemble performances. The Department of Music also offers supporting courses to students in other disciplines. This curriculum attracts students who desire the optimum preparation for their profession.
