SCHOLARSHIP
INFORMATION
The NSU music scholarship program is
one of the most attractive in
the region. Based upon auditions,
Northern State University
awards the following scholarships:
- $2500 — Janis Pearson Vocal Excellence Award
- $1250 per year for 4 years — Excellence in Music Scholarships
- $1400 — Hatterscheidt Scholarships
Music minors and talented non-music majors
may also audition for
scholarships. Last year,
nearly 100 music scholarships were
awarded to upperclassmen and freshmen.
2008 scholarship audition dates:
- February 22, Johnson Fine Arts Center
- February 23, Johnson Fine Arts Center
If you are unable to audition on those dates,
please submit a recording by February 17.

Furthermore, NSU offers a 4-year guaranteed
scholarship called the
Northern Wolf PACT based upon ACT
scores as follows:
-
$10,000 ($2,500 per year) —
ACT 28+
-
$6,000 ($1,500 per year) —
ACT 24–27
-
$4,000 ($1,000 per year) —
ACT 21–23
The President's Meritorious Scholarship,
$5000 per year for 4 years,
will be awarded to five students.
Applicants with an ACT score of 28 or
above who apply by February 1 will be
invited to campus for an interview for
this prestigious award. See

| Finally, the full tuition and fees
Dakota Corps Scholarship and the
$5000
South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship
are available to qualified S.D. high
school graduates. Many more
scholarships, grants and loans are
