NSU Theater Presents “Chilling” Comedy

(Aberdeen,
S.D.) The Northern State University department of theater will present
their annual winter play “The Smell of the Kill,” on
Feb. 13 -16 in the NSU Johnson Fine Arts Center. The play will begin nightly at 7:30 p.m. Tickets of “The
Smell of the Kill,” go on sale Mon, Feb. 4 in the NSU bookstore.
The action of "The Smell of the Kill" takes place during
a monthly dinner party with friends Debra, Molly and Nicky, and
their menacing husbands. The after-dinner conversation takes a turn
when the women discuss the discord they are experiencing in their
relationships. After unveiling many secrets, an opportunity arises
to fix their marital problems with one “chilling” act,
as the women actually consider doing their husbands all at once.
The NSU production stars Angela Nguyen, Aberdeen, Erin Dahmes,
Wabasso, Minn. and Amber Noble Stellner, Lennox, as the wives. Seth
Honerman, Benjamin Lickteig, Bismarck, N.D., and Kevin Nilson, Webster,
as the husbands, round out the cast. NSU senior, and musical theater
major Adam Karal Sahli of Aberdeen, directs the production. Technical
Director Larry Wild provides the set and light design and Dan Yurgaitis,
Director of Theater, is the Producer.
Tickets for “The Smell of the Kill,” are $10, with discounts
available for seniors and high school students. Tickets increase
