Darci Bultema to Present Faculty Recital

(Aberdeen,
S.D.) The Northern State University department of music is pleased to announce that Darci Bultema, instructor of applied voice and opera, will present a faculty recital on, Sun, Feb. 10 at 3 p.m. in the Johnson Fine Arts Center’s Berggren Recital Hall.
Bultema, a vocal soprano, has performed on the operatic stage in a variety of roles, such as La Contessa in “Le nozze di Figaro,” Donna Elvira in “Don Giovanni,” Cleopatra in Handel’s “Giulio Cesare,” Clorinda in “La Cenerentola,” The Female Chorus in Britten’s “The Rape of Lucretia,” and Lavinia in Bononcini’s “Camilla.”
Originally from North Dakota, Bultema holds a B.S. North Dakota State University, M.M. Peabody Conservatory of Music, G.P.D. Peabody Conservatory of Music and a D.M.A. North Dakota State University.
Bultema will perform works from Mozart, Hahn, Marx, and Pearson Thomas. She will be accompanied by NSU’s Bill Wieland. She joined the NSU Faculty in 2007.
There is no charge for the recital and the public is cordially invited to attend.
