“Dominant 7” to Perform Fanfare at Grand Opening Ceremony

(ABERDEEN, SD) The Northern State University trumpet
and rhythm group “The Dominant 7” will perform a fanfare
at the grand opening ceremony of the SAMI Performing Arts Center
in Spirit Lake, Iowa, on Apr. 12.
Following the ribbon cutting ceremony the group will perform for patrons in the Susan & Mike Hoien Lobby of the SAMI Performing Arts Center prior to the performance of Simon Estes, internationally acclaimed Bass Baritone and Iowa native.
The Dominant 7,” is under the direction of Dr. Grant Manhart, and is comprised of, on average, 7 trumpets, rhythm and bass. Current members include Craig Kollasch, Spirit Lake, Iowa, Alex Massa, Rapid City, Nathan Meier, Mandan N.D., Mike Mower, Rapid City, Jared Opp, Roscoe, James Reed, Spearfish, and Julia Wakal, Victoria, B.C.
