Marcela Faflak Selected for Prestigious Appearances this Summer

(ABERDEEN, SD) Based on excellent reviews of seven collaborative
performances in various cities in the Czech Republic, including
Prague, Marcela Flaflak, associate professor of music at Northern
State University, has been invited to serve and perform in two professional
events this coming summer, conducted by the V.P. Art Agency, Czech
Republic.
Faflak will serve on an international jury for one of the most
prestigious piano student competitions the “Prague Junior
Note” in Prague, Czech Republic. This is 17th annual “Prague
Junior Note” and the competition takes place June 5 –
9, 2008 in Prague. It is open to talented piano students attending
music schools in the Czech Republic. The nine-member jury panel
consists of pedagogues and performers from the Czech Republic, France,
Austria, Cyprus, and United States.
Following her stint in Prague, Faflak will travel to Tyn nad Vltavou,
Czech Republic, where she has been selected to participate as a
master teacher and performer in one of four week-long “International
Mater Classes and Concerts,” on July 14 – 20, 2008.
The is a seminar intended for music teachers furthering their education,
and Faflak is one of three presenters who will represent the Czech
Republic, Cyprus, and United States..
