Travel the World in our Region

(ABERDEEN, SD) The Northern State University College of Arts and Sciences is offering the opportunity to examine religious traditions that are less common today through SOC 490: Religion in 21st Century America. The course, which is led by NSU’s Dr. Jim Seeber, begins on June 2.
Participants will spend two weeks on the NSU campus discussing the religious traditions and social history of the Hutterrite, Jewish, Islamic, Greek Orthodox and Evangelical Christian traditions. At the conclusion, students will spend three days in the Twin Cities visiting a temple, monastery, mosque and religious communities.
The course will meet Mon-Thu from 8 – 9:50 a.m. on June 2-12, and Mon-Tue, June 16-17.
