NSU Volleyball Receives Team Academic Award

(ABERDEEN, SD) The Northern State University Volleyball team is among the 353 teams to earn The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2007-08 season. NSU earned the award for excellence displayed in the classroom during the school year, maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
“We really take pride in receiving this award again this year,” said Lisa Schriver, NSU Head Volleyball coach. “There are a lot of demands on time with student athletes. For our team to receive this award for another year really shows the commitment our players make toward their education as well as their athletic career.”
The NSU volleyball squad joins 39 NCAA Division II teams who also
received the honor.
