Auditions for Children for NSU’s Fall Musical “Fiddler on the Roof”
Released August 26, 2008
(ABERDEEN, SD) Northern State University is looking for
children for its upcoming musical, “Fiddler on the Roof,” to be
presented for three performances on Oct. 16, 17 and 18, in the
Johnson Fine Arts Center.
There are two roles available for girls (Tevye’s two youngest
daughters Shprintze and Bielke) and two roles available for boys
(who will appear in the wedding scene, the exodus and have one
additional acting scene). Children will be asked to sing a short
piece and possibly read from the script.
Auditions will be held on Thu, Sep. 4 at 4 p.m. in the Krikac
Auditorium on NSU’s campus. Parents are asked to bring along each
child’s schedule of activities for the period leading up to the
performances, so that potential conflicts can be noted. For
additional information, call director Daniel Yurgaitis at 626-2563
or e-mail at yurgaitd@northern.edu. The Krikac Auditorium is located
in the Krikac Administration building and can be accessed through
the main floor of the building.
