Northern State University will host a Sanford Community Lecture Series seminar at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10.
This month’s seminar, which is free and open to the public, will be a special Breast Cancer Awareness Month lecture titled “A Molecular Perspective of Breast Cancer from a Scientist who is a Survivor.” Dr. Kristi Egland, associate scientist of the Sanford Research Cancer Biology Research Center, will speak via simulcast in Northern’s Mewaldt-Jensen Room 144. Attendees are asked to enter the building’s southeast door.
The Sanford Community Lecture Series is a monthly seminar series aimed at educating community members on research initiatives in their own backyard. This is the third year that NSU has streamed this series live in Aberdeen. Seminars will continue monthly through spring 2014.
