ABERDEEN, S.D. – Starting this fall, Northern State University students pursuing agriculture-related careers can gain a competitive edge thanks to a new agricultural business minor.
The agribusiness minor combines business, management, marketing, finance and economics courses offered through the NSU School of Business with specialized ag courses offered online through South Dakota State University.
Northern students can combine this minor with their major degree to better prepare them for a challenging career in management and marketing of agricultural products and services. The new minor will benefit students seeking careers in areas such as production agriculture, agribusiness, agriculture finance and ag banking.
“The agribusiness minor allows NSU business majors to supplement their business knowledge by sharpening their perspective on agricultural issues,” said Dr. Bill Broucek, dean of the NSU School of Business.
