ABERDEEN, S.D. – "Business Opportunities Abroad" will be the topic of the
September Business Connections event at Northern State University.
Edward Burton, chief executive officer of the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council, will be the featured speaker. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, in the Student Center Centennial rooms.
Burton works with the American and Saudi public and private sectors to promote bilateral U.S.-Saudi Arabian commercial relationships. Burton’s previous positions have included serving as the commercial attaché at the American Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; the director of the U.S. Export Assistance Center in Philadelphia; and the international trade director for the state of New Jersey.
Northern’s Business Connections events provide an opportunity for the student and business communities to interact and discuss a diverse range of business issues. Events, which continue monthly throughout the academic year, are sponsored by the NSU School of Business and NSU Center for Entrepreneurship and International Business.
