South Dakota investor to speak at NSU Entrepreneurship Camp

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Students who attend the upcoming Northern State University Entrepreneurship Camp will get to learn from an entrepreneur who invests in South Dakota businesses.

Ben Hanten will deliver the keynote address at the camp, set for July 21-23 on the NSU campus.

A South Dakota native, Hanten is founder of Ben’s Brewing Co. in Yankton. He is also an investor who seeks to help companies grow with early-stage funding through an angel fund called Two Bridges Capital.

About the camp
The entrepreneurship camp, the first of its kind to be offered at NSU, is open to high school juniors and seniors. The camp is sponsored by Northern’s Center for Excellence in International Business and Entrepreneurship (CEIBE).
Students who attend will be mentored by business, management and marketing representatives from Northern and local businesses. They will also attend workshops led by these faculty and professionals.
Workshop topics are as follows: negotiating; market research; pricing strategies; marketing; accounting; financing your business; networking and collaborating; giving back; and business law and legal structure.
