ABERDEEN, S.D.—The 44th annual South Dakota Jazz Festival is taking place with events throughout the day at the Johnson Fine Arts Center, concluding with a concert tonight at 7:30 p.m.
Around 300 students from area and visiting schools are participating in both instrumental and vocal jazz performances. Among the schools represented are Simmons, Holgate, and Aberdeen Central; Groton Area; Jamestown, N.D.; Lisbon, N.D.; Trinity; St. Thomas More in Rapid City; and NSU.
Tickets for tonight’s concert will be available at the door: $7 for adults and $5 for seniors. There is no charge for NSU students or for children high school age and younger. Aberdeen Community Concert Association tickets will also be honored.
