ABERDEEN, S.D. – Three Northern State University students will have an opening reception for their senior advertising and multimedia group exhibition on Friday, April 26.
The reception for Erin Crawford, Julia Owens and Paul Stogsdill will be 5-7 p.m. in the Student Center Gallery (second floor). The exhibition will be on display until May 5.

Crawford grew in Rapid City, graduating from Rapid City Central High School in 2009. She is the daughter of Loree and Doug Crawford of Rapid City.

Owens grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 2008. She is the daughter of Jeffrey Owens of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Lynn Graham of Huntington Beach, Calif.
Stogsdill grew up in Aberdeen, graduating from Aberdeen Central High School in 2007. He is the son of Leonard and Linda Stogsdill of Aberdeen.

He will be showing a variety of artworks, including illustrations, photography and video. Owens’ work is mostly a mix of advertising design (packaging design, brochures, posters), digital images and illustrations. Crawford will show art works made from various Adobe products, such as Photoshop and Illustrator.

Crawford, who is majoring in graphic design with a specialization in multimedia, has studied with NSU's Keum-Taek Jung.

Owens, an art major with a double specialization in fine art and advertising design, has studied with professors Peter Kilian, Greg Blair, Sara Christensen Blair, Nadya Preszler and Jung.
Stogsdill has studied with Kilian, Blair, Christensen Blair, Jung and Preszler. Stogsdill, who is majoring in advertising design, will graduate in summer 2013. His future plans are undecided at this point.
Crawford and Owens will graduate in May. Crawford’s future plans are to find a job in Rapid City to gain experience, then pursue her master’s in animation.

Owens plans to find an internship or job in graphic design or gallery work to gain experience. Come fall 2014, she hopes to be in graduate school.
