“The Art of Origami” will be the topic of the NSU Women spring 2014 brunch potluck on Saturday, March 29.
The event begins at 10 a.m. in the Missouri River Room in Graham Hall. All female NSU faculty and staff members – as well as wives of male employees – are invited to attend. Attendees may also bring a guest or two.
Guest presenter Karen Rosby will present a demonstration and talk about the art of origami, or Japanese paper folding. She will show attendees how to make a crane and share the story of the Hiroshima Peace Park (1,000 cranes for peace).
Coffee, tea and orange juice will be served. Attendees are encouraged to bring a favorite brunch menu item to share potluck style (enough to serve six to eight people).
Cost is $2 to each NSU woman to help defray the cost of refreshments. There is no cost for guests.
