Sweet Jazz at NSU to feature music, dessert
ABERDEEN, S.D. – Coffee and dessert will be served with a side of music at an evening of Sweet Jazz at Northern State University.
 

The event, featuring the NSU Vocal Jazz Ensemble, will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 in Student Center Centennial rooms A and B.
 
The program includes selections such as “Smile,” “Summertime,” “All of Me,” “I've Got the World on a String,” “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” The NSU Vocal Jazz Ensemble is directed by Dr. Wendy van Gent. Special guests will be Dr. Grant Manhart, trumpet, and Ron Parker, piano. 
 
Tickets are $5 in advance and are available at Ken’s SuperFair Foods, the NSU music department office or from any jazz student member. Tickets will be $8 at the door.
