ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State University is pleased to announce three finalists for the vice president for student affairs position.
The community is invited to a public forum for each candidate beginning Friday, Aug. 17, 2012.
Finalists include:
• Ms. Debra Carlson Wood, J.D., is a consultant on matters related to higher education for Wood & Cuara Inc. in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. Prior to that, she served as associate dean of students for Northwestern University-Qatar.
• Dr. Calvin D. Phillips is the associate vice president of student affairs/dean of students at the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg, Texas.
• Mr. Melvin D. Adams III is the director for student and community engagement at Capitol University in Columbus, Ohio.
