ABERDEEN, S.D. – About 220 middle and high school students from northeast South Dakota will be on the Northern State University campus on Wednesday, March 18, for the National History Day regional competition.

Students will present research projects as part of the competition, which will run from 8 a.m. to noon in the NSU Student Center and Missouri River Room.

This is the eighth year that Northern has hosted the regional competition. Winners will be invited to the state competition, and state winners will advance to the national competition.
